This version of the popular dominoes game is a well made version including modes for 3 or 4 players, variable game lengths and multiple themed backgrounds. The idea of the game is to remove all the dominoes from your hand. You do this by moving dominoes from your hand to the "trains" above. You can only place a domino on a train if it has a matching side. If you or another player lays a double domino e.
If you can't make a move you can get a new domino and lay that one down. The player who played the double is allowed to play additional tile to any other train open to player for play but subsequent players must play a tile on the double first if it was not closed.
If player can not play a tile, his train is marked as open and becomes available to play by any other player. After it is unmarked, it again becomes unavailable for play to other players.
In the first turn player is not required to play additional tile at the end of a double. If player can play all tiles in the first round itself, other players get to finish their first turn. I have been playing this game fairly obsessively for 6 months.
It has definitely improved my strategic game as I win more when playing in real life, but it is rigged so that the computer players get significantly better dominoes that the human player in a game with real people someone will be short the opening domino about times in an entire game. With this game I will be missing the starting number that many times and more all by myself. I just deleted the game as it is far too frustrating and seems cruel on the part of the designers. The game his very heavily weighed toward the computer players.
They all team up against the human player me and you. I thought it was a fluke until I started paying really close attention. I have never seen a more unbalanced game in my life. I have played literally hundreds of games and it always results in the same. Too unbalanced to be fun. It just turns into a frustration fest! Save yourself the trouble and get hearts or something else. More on: best opening Mexican Train Domino moves.
Each player gets a personal "train" of dominoes. You must connect one end of a domino with another of the same number on a train, such as 3 4 - 4 9 - 9 1. You can close your train by playing a tile on your train again.
